REGULATIONS for all THCFF LEASE MEMBERS

Regulation Changes: Members will receive an email regarding changes and important dates. It is the responsibility of all leaseholders to stay informed and respond accordingly.

The THCFF Fish Manager or board may revoke a lease member's lease access privileges for blatantly disrespecting others or not following lease rules or rules of good conduct.

ACCESS: Only THCFF leaseholders and accompanied guests may fish the THCFF Trout Leases.  

  1. You must have a valid Texas Fishing License to fish any THCFF Lease. 
  2. Lease Access is granted solely for day fishing. Leases close 30 minutes after sundown.


THCFF TROUT LEASE 2026 PROGRAM RULES

THCFF RULES OF CONDUCT ON LEASE PROPERTY

1.     The most important rule of conduct is to always SHOW RESPECT to all other lease members, the Lease Land, and the stocked trout. Disrespectful persons will be removed from the lease program.

2.     THCFF Lease 2026 blue wrist bands, signifying you are a paid lease member, must be visibly worn when on lease property. Report unidentified persons to the Lease fish manager at fish@thcff.org [Only identified lease members and vehicles are covered by the Club’s liability insurance]

3.     THCFF Lease 2026 parking permits must be visibly displayed on the dashboard or windshield mirror of the member’s vehicle while on lease property. [Unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing]

4.     TRASH: Carry out what you carry in. Clean up any other trash you find. We will try to have trash bags available.

5.     No camping, carrying, or discharging of firearms, hunting, fires, cutting/picking up of firewood, or any activity other than fishing.

6.     Guests under 18 years must always be accompanied by their sponsoring Lease member adult.


LEASE REGULATIONS FOR LEASE MEMBERS AND GUESTS

1.     All Lease access dates, changes, and notable events are announced by the Trout Lease Newsletter.

a.     LEASE CLOSURE, Mondays at 4:00 PM for feeding the fish and lease maintenance.

b.     Be sure to read each email newsletter and ask questions where you are not certain of the information.

2.     Parking is allowed only in the two designated areas —Parking Area 2 and Areas 3-4 —accessed via the selected roads. The maximum number of parked vehicles is posted.  You may not drive on or off the road anywhere else on the property.

3.     Every member and their guest must sign in and out using the lease sign-in sheets located at both lease parking areas (there are two parking areas, each with a sign-in sheet).

a.     Members may sign in to only one beat at a time.

b.     If fishing in Area 2 Upper or Lower, you must sign in at AREA 2 Parking and state which beat you will be fishing. BEATS: 2 Upper or 2 Lower.

c.     If fishing in Areas 3 and 4, you must sign in at AREA 3-4 Parking and state which beat you will be fishing.  BEATS: 3 Upper, 3 Lower, 4 Upper, 4 Middle, or 4 Lower.

d.     If you wish to fish a different beat, return to the original area and sign out. Now you may SIGN IN TO A DIFFERENT BEAT USING A NEW LINE ENTRY. [ Never scribble over or deface a line entry.  Always start a new line to fish a new area. Sign-in sheets are vital for monitoring the fishing pressure our trout are receiving. ]

e.     Report inappropriate fishing behavior or fishing location conflicts to fish@thcff.org

4.     GUEST PASS, any non-lease member 16 or older must purchase ($25) a guest pass to fish.

a.     One guest pass is required per guest, per day.

b.     THCFF Lease Members must always accompany and be responsible for their guests.

c.     Guest Passes may be purchased at the lease sign-in boxes ($25 check or cash).

d.     The Guest Pass information is fully completed and left at the signing station.

5.     The THCFF board may revoke a member's Lease Access privileges at any time.

6.     Lease 2026 Program members and guests must abide by the laws and rules of the State of Texas, TP&W, THCFF, and Lessors. Yes, you must have a valid Texas Fishing License to fish Crabapple Creek Lease.

7.     Fly Fishing using barbless hooks only; catch-and-release is mandatory until notified in April 2026 via newsletter.

  1. Report problems by photographing the situation with your mobile phone and emailing the photo, location, date & time to TROUTLEASE@THCFF.ORG.  Alternatively, text the photo and info to 2106090225.  The THCFF Fish Manager will take up the matter with the County Sheriff or State Game Warden and Land Owner.
  2. Surveillance Cameras will be used to document unauthorized activity.
