Texas Hill Country Fly Fishers (prev: Fredericksburg Fly Fishers) and their events are managed by volunteers, with no paid staff.  All donations go toward conservation, education and responsible promotion of the sport of fishing.

How We Make A Difference

Mentoring: Our Club offers a robust mentoring program for all skill levels of fly fishing education, and fishing skills that support game fishing in Texas. Children welcome.

Oktoberfisch: Annual fly fishing seminar that offers conservation, education, and fishing skills that support game fishing in Texas.

Trout Lease: Our annual lease fishing program is designed to provide you with hands-on learning experiences, empowering you with the knowledge of lease stocking, lease maintenance, and fish sustainability.  

Angler Education for events: Many club members are TPWD-Certified Angler Education Instructors and are available to coordinate fishing functions with TPWD instructional programs.

Marinist Boys Camp in Mountain Home: Donated equipment and instructors to fly fishing training

Llano Watershed Alliance: Membership and endorsement of conservation efforts, donation.

Casting for Recovery: Endorses and supports Casting for Recovery Events, donation.

Reel Recovery: Endorses and supports Casting for

Wounded Warriors: Hosted fishing outings w/ Wounded Warriors. Recovery Events, donation.


Mission Statement

We promote fly fishing as a sport consistent with the preservation of game fish resources. Some of the Earth's greatest resources such as game fishing are threatened by housing development, poor land and water management, road construction, and mining. We aim to protect these fishing areas by promoting responsible development and fly fishing awareness.
